Fresh FIR in Era Adel fraud case GURGAON: One more FIR was lodged in the Era Adel Landmark multi-crore-rupee fraud case on Wednesday. The FIR was lodged by a Malibu Towne couple, who were allegedly cheated by the company of Rs 17 lakh in a way similar to that suffered by other complainants.

Gurgaon: Illegal weapons flow in, Arms Act cases rise 30% GURGAON: The city has witnessed a sharp increase in the number of illegal weapons seized this year. According to police records, cases under the Arms Act have gone up by 30% in the first seven months of 2015, compared to the corresponding period in 2014.

Executive held at gunpoint, car stolen GURGAON: Four armed robbers made off with the vehicle of a Delhi-based executive in the early hours of Thursday on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway after holding him hostage at gunpoint. The armed assailants earlier thrashed him and forced him to withdraw Rs 4,000 from his account. They later fled the spot leaving him by the roadside.

Builder defaults on charges, DTCP cancels IT park licence GURGAON: Having cancelled the licence for an IT park in Sector 74, the department of town and country planning (DTCP) on Monday rejected the builder's plea to renew the license for the project. It cited dues of Rs 38.3 crore in external development charges (EDC) and infrastructure development charges (IDC), as well pending building plans and FIRs against the builder by Gurgaon Police crime branch and economic offences wing (EOW), and Delhi Police, as reasons.
