Movie Review: Perfect teamwork makes 'Aschhe Abar Shabor' enthralling
Prasenjit Chatterjee appropriately says, "Arindam Sil is a fantastic actor but he is a better director."

Yes, there is no doubt that he is one of the finest directors Bengali film industry has ever seen. He has yet again lived up to his reputation by making 'Aschhe Abar Shabor', the best Shabor film till date. The film is based on legendary author Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay’s story 'Projapotir Mrityu O Punorjanmo'.

The plot provides the sleuth with the necessary clues to solve the case. It's one of the best whodunits made in Bengali cinema.

Soumik Halder, who never fails to stun with his camera work, has captured Lucknow beautifully. Sanjib Das also deserves a special mention for his editing. Bikram Ghosh, who has earlier collaborated innumerable times with Sil has again shown his charisma with his musical composition and background score. National Award winning playback singer Iman Chakraborty again strikes the chord with 'Bhanga mon' after her chartbuster 'Kholo dwar bnodhua' from Sil's 'Byomkesh Parbo'.

The film contains an ensemble cast with some fresh faces from the fashion arena as well. Darshana Banik debuted with the film and used the platform but another newcomer Diti Saha failed to fit in the panel as her acting could have been better. Anindya Chattopadhyay again shines after 'Chatuskone'. Arunima Ghosh, Anjana Basu and Mir play small but significant characters and look different from their earlier works. Gourav Chakraborty has also acted well as a police officer. Veteran actor Lalita Chatterjee too has acted on a perfect note. After some misfire Indraneil Sengupta this time hits the bull’s eye with his splendid portrayal as Bijay Sen. After Kamaleswar Mukherjee's directorial debut 'Urochithi', Indraneil has been used so beautifully. This is no doubt one of his career best performances. Subhrajit Dutta has basically set a bar too high with his stellar performance. He is the ultimate man of the match of this Shabor franchisee. He has done a tremendous and flawless job as a supporting actor. If Saswata Chatterjee as Shabor is Manna Dey with the harmonium then Subhrajit as Nandalal is definitely Radhakanta Nandi with the tabla. He is comparable with what Manav Kaul did as supporting actor in 'Tumhari Sulu'. Last but not the least nobody can replace Saswata Chatterjee as Shabor Dasgupta.

A well knitted storyline, flawless direction, enthralling twists, parenting tips and obviously one of the longest running chase, make 'Aschhe Abar Shabor' a master stroke.
