At
the launch event, Mahesh Kulkarni, M&M's commercial vehicles
marketing vice-president said, We are targeting a sale of 10000
units per month. I also think that as per National Electric Mobility
Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2030 country will be more dependent on electric
vehicles.
Mahindra also is offering 'Mahindra ka Bharosa', a finance scheme in which an end user has to pay a down payment of just Rs 59,000 and EMIs of Rs 6,800. Along with this scheme, the end user will also be provided with an additional warranty of 1 year and first time free battery replacement.
Kulkarni
further informed that other companies operating in the electric
rickshaw market were providing a warranty of just 6 months, and they
also didn't have the same brand value as Mahindra.
Mahindra
is also offering a unique scheme called Uday for its customers who
avail finance facility. In this scheme, the driver gets a free
accidental death insurance worth Rs 10 lakh.
With
a 1000w motor and 120Ah-48V battery, Mahindra e-Alfa Mini will run 85
kms on full charge and can be charged domestically in 5 hours of time
duration. The company will also provide a fast service within 60
minutes to 4 hours of time on regular basis in case of breakdown of
vehicle.
E-Alfa Mini has been launched at a price of Rs 1.27
lakh (ex-showroom Kolkata).
