Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan to star opposite each other after eight-long-years in Gulab Jamun
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan were last seen together on screen in 2010. The real-life couple who had tied the knot in 2007, have worked together in films like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Na Kaho and Sarkar Raj.

And now they both will be reuniting on the silver screen after eight-long-years in the film titled ‘Gulab Jamun’.

Aishwarya Rai said that although the script had come almost more than a year ago but Abhishek wasn’t too eager to be part of the film. After a lot of indecisiveness, the Fanney Khan actress confirmed the news that the couple had decided to go for it.

The Bachchan couple has now finally signed the film. Confirming the news in an interview with Mid-Day, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said, “AB and I agreed to do Gulab Jamun. I told AB that he needs to decide what he wants to do after Manmarziyan.”

Talking about the script of Gulab Jamun, Aishwarya said that the script was beautiful and perfectly complemented them as a couple.

The couple as of now is busy wrapping up with their respective projects. Aishwarya Rai will be next seen in ‘Fanney Khan’ along with Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Aishwarya plays the role of a singer in the movie. The movie is lined up for release on August 3.

On the other hand, Abhishek will be next seen in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziayan’ along with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. The film is slated to release on September 14.

Sarvesh Mewara has been roped in as the director of ‘Gulab Jamun’ and sources reveal that the movie will soon hit the floors. “The film is positively moving ahead and the production will be announced very soon,” informs a close source that is bankrolled by Phantom Films and backed by Reliance Entertainment.
